Leica - Leitz Wetzlar Macro Elmarit-R 1:2.8/60mm lens. Leica - Leitz Wetzlar Maco Elmarit-R 1:2.8/60mm lens. Leica to Canon EOS EF lens adaptor attached. Must admit to liking this lens a lot on first impressions, even though it cost me an arm and leg (to me) compared to all my other lenses.Value for money? well compared to new lenses in similar class a big yes. Compared to a few of my cheaper lenses (1/2 to 1/100 the cost) very debatable. But increasing quality I suppose is a bit like trying to reach the speed of light, each time you double the cost of a lens would you experience twice the quality? well no I don't think so, but those small increases do cost. Then you need to think about whether your camera, film or sensor etc.. is below or beyond the capabilities of the lens. Picture taken with Lens:Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 35mm F/2.8 (m42).
